The Jeeter Appreciation Thread

Since today's his birthday, and because he's simply one cool dude.

Oh, why thank you! Never thought things would come to this. :D

To Mrs. Tuttle: It was my 17th, not 18th. I'm graduating in June 2011.

I hope you have a lot of people come to your graduation.

When I graduated over three years ago, it was like Frank's birthday... my mom sent out TONS of invitations, and outside of family members, only one person came... everyone else just sent money and giftcards in the mail... nice gestures, but personally, I'd rather people come than send gifts.

I have a feeling this thread isn't gonna last long. LOL There really isn't much appreciation going on around me at the moment.

Like I said, I won't be graduating anytime in the near future. But as you may know already, high school just flies by like nothing. Believe it or not, I think Mrs. Tuttle is graduating this year.(ohh, that was mean. Just joking, so nothing personal ;) )So hopefully we'll get a few comments about what she's getting into after school. I'd like to know.

I guess your graduation could also be compared to Frank's graduation from Med school. Who honestly would have gone to see ferret-face receive his diploma after so much malpractice?

So today is officially 'Appreciate Jeeter day'? I think that's a pretty good idea ;)

Ahhh ok, my 17th was earlier this year, wasn't really that eventful i dont think lol.

And nah it didn't sound mean, I think the 'Mrs' tends to throw people off in regards to my age.

Andd after i graduate, we are supposed to be going on a trip to America, Canada and Hawaii (I say 'supposed to' know because we have encountered a few problems of late) but after that i'll probably be going to Uni or hopefully get a job in childcare or something like that. I'm kinda over school at the moment so in leaning more towards the job.

What about you Jeeter, what do you want to do when you graduate? Because like you said, School flies by and your graduation comes around so much quicker than you expect.

Journalism, or some type of environmental science.

Childcare sounds good to me. Your trip sounds so amazing!

Margaret would've gone, lol. Hawkeye and Trapper (or B.J.) might have gone just for the party afterwards, or be disruptive by blowing those airhorns that they tell you you're not allowed to blow but people blow them anyway, lol.

Oops... sorry... *Holds up campaign sign* JEETER FOR 2012!

Haha, thats a good way to see it. Thanks for the campaign signs, but what am I running for? :O

Uggggggh...I can't fast forward through these special features on the M*A*S*H dvds!! This is so frustrating having to watch these long scenes I've seen a billion times.

Hmm... well, let's see, you can't run for the Presidency since you're "un-American"... ugh... how about the "Prime Ministry"? *Toothy grin* :D

What kind of remote do you have, BTW? If it's for like a TV/DVD player combo thing with only one set of rewind and forward buttons, then you might have to simply hold down on them until they start forwarding and rewinding without skipping chapters and such; otherwise if there's two sets of those buttons, the ones marked |<< and >>| are for chapter skipping, while the ones marked << and >> are your rewind/forward buttons.

I'm actually watching it on the computer, and I can't skip ahead to something or fast forward. I wanted to quote Harry Morgan on here but now I forget what he said. Stupid Windows Media Player. I'll just have to rip it off the DVD and copy it onto the PS3 or something.

Whoa... you're watching DVDs on WMP? I've never been able to do that, lol, I've had to download VideoLan (VLC) Player to watch DVDs on the computer.

Perhaps that's what you need, have you ever used VLC? It's pretty damn good I must say, it allows you to watch a lot of things that you can't in WMP unless you download all these malicious codecs to do so. Though I've never attempt to actually rewind or fast forward a DVD on VLC, I just move the player bar forward or backward if I want to rewatch or skip ahead to something.

I think the fast forward feature works on a standard DVD player but for some reason WMP doesn't work at all.

I have something similar to VLC but I haven't tried it for watching DVDs yet. I only use it do watch movies. Legally of course. I may give VLC a go.

Totally off-topic but you probably should know the answer to this. How do you make links clickable on this board? Also, is it possible to post pictures?

Unfortunately, posting pictures are impossible on this forum (I have tried it before, and it didn't work). ><

To make links clickable, you just need the proper HTML code...

< a href = " URL " > what you want the link to say < / a >

And note to remove the spaces from the code, save for inbetween a and href.

Looking back on some old threads...I was supposed to be known as "the guy who caused others to mistake Tuttle for a turtle".

It's an inside joke that some may not remember.

Does this mean Tuttle's not turtley enough for the Turtle Club?

Never quite understood that either. Their underwear must be a lot more special than everyone else.

They're trying to make exposing underwear socially acceptable, in hopes that women will follow the trend, and start walking around exposing their bras and panties.

After I saw Kathy Greenwood in a bra years ago, I had my fill since then, lol. Don't worry, it was just part of a show she was appearing in... she and the guy who was the janitor in The Breakfast Club were playing newly weds, and she spilled red wine on her wedding blouse.
