Big Daddy O'Reilly View Profile Posted: 7/21/2012 10:55:12 PM	A New Fanfic Coming Soon Dani's kind comments about my fanfics inspired me to write another one, so I'm working on a new story I hope to finish soon: after trying for some time to come up with an OC, I think I may have hit upon something. Just to give everyone a heads up, this story will be an AU (alternate universe) tail in which someone is sent to the 4077th to replace Radar (I know, sacreligious), since Klinger just can't get the hang of the job.

That sounds like a really good storyline! I have written about M*A*S*H in my writing at home, but I never posted anything on the internet. I'm more of a long-hand writer than a type-writer writer(haha). I wish you luck, and please let us know where you post it at. <3

In the meantime, I can go ahead and share some of the basic info about my new OC with you guys to give you a better idea about him and who he is... So here's my OC, and here's his basic info: Name: Shadrach, Jason Rank: Staff Sergeant Home Town: Knoxville, Tennessee (hey, I'd like to see my home get some love in the M*A*S*H universe) Serial Number: US84754918 Military Record: arrived in Korea with his squad from basic. Data: <list> <li> Was assistant switchboard operator to Sparky <li> Was a disc jockey in Knoxville <li> Drafted <li> Very bad aim with a rifle </list> Miscellaneous: Usually wears a highneck sweater Vices: None that anybody knows of Shadrach also has a tendency to be a slacker and a goldbrick, but is also rather sneaky and good at scrounging and dealing.

I like it. I never seen a story made up of entire dialoge, I am one for long, sappy details, but that is what I special in because that is the only way I write. You are a great writer. <3

First of all, I just want to point out that I'm still gone, you know why, and because of you know who, however, I DID want to make an announcement that I'm getting ready to start work on a new fanfic featuring Shadrach - I want to be able to sort of work him into a story where he's really one of the gang, and show his interaction and relationships with the others in camp. Not quite sure what I'm going to do just yet, but I'll let you guys know.

And that's pretty much the only place I read M*A*S*H fanfiction. But I really enjoyed yours. I look forward to more stories about Shadrach; I'd definitely like to see his character fleshed out a bit more.

Yes, it's really been a source of confusion, that's one of the reasons I was initially banned from FFN, for writing in script format (they didn't specify that it's the same as what they call "Interactive/chat format", which they don't allow); however, the first fanfics I ever read like ten years ago WERE written in script format, so to me, my concept of fanfics were essentially fan-written episodes. But thanks again, I'm in the midsts of working on a new story with Shadrach right now, not sure when it'll be finished though, but I'll be sure to let everybody know.
