I am in no way related to the characters in this story, nor do I own them... Except for BJ "Hawkeye" Pierce Houlihan

Hope You Don't Mind Broccoli

by Amberlina

"I'm sorry we don't have much food. I didn't get to go to the store today." Margaret Houlihan said to Hawkeye Pierce, it had been 15 years since the end of the war, & Margaret had called him to come down & visit.

"Don't apologize," Hawkeye said. He noticed that she had nothing, except for some Broccoli. He wondered how she, a very strong woman was able to go without food, & apparently without a job.

"I wanted you to come, because I want to introduce you to someone, first I have to say something."

"Go on," Hawkeye said rather curious.

"Remember before the war ended we got rather intimate?"

"Yes."

"You have a daughter Hawkeye, I named her after you. Her name is BJ 'Hawkeye' Pierce Houlihan. BJ, because of BJ."

Hawkeye sat there, trying to take in that he had a daughter.

"Why didn't you ever call me before? Why wasn't I a part of her life?"

"Hawkeye, I didn't know how you might react. I kept a secret."

"Do you want to meet her?"

"Yes, of course."

"She'd be here any minute."

As if on cue BJ "Hawkeye" Pierce Houlihan or BJ for short came through the door.

"I'm home."

BJ put down her bag as she always did, & went to see her mom. This time she stopped in her tracks, & looked at a image of herself.

"BJ."

"You said he had..." she said running to her room.

"Margaret, you never told her I was alive?"

Margaret hesitated as she answered that question, "No Hawkeye."

BJ came walking in the room before Hawkeye was able to say anything more.

"I guess I am going to have to start getting to know you," she said.

Hawkeye smiled.
