Grand Archives posted 2 previously unreleased songs on SoundCloud - "Cracks in the Road" and "Wake Up!" Both songs were written by guitarist Thomas Wright and feature him on vocals; they were recording during the sessions for "Keep in Mind Frankenstein."

Sera Cahoone posted on her Facebook Page that she has booked studio time and is starting work on a new album. This will be her first record since Only as the Day Is Long from 2008.

Sera Cahoone will be preforming at Tractor in Seattle, WA on December 29 (tickets). Opening acts will be Sons of Warren Oats & Jackrabbit. On Facebook, she indicates this concert will include new songs. Also, Musician On Musicians has an interview with Sera.

Band of Horses has announced the following dates: December 11 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, December 12 at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA, and December 14 with My Morning Jacket at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

S (Jenn Ghetto) will be playing tonight at Wacky Kastle in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, MA. The show is at 6pm with opening acts Christa Gniadnek and 'The New and Very Welcome'.

Tonight's show at NYU will be at the Eisner & Lubin Auditorium (60 Washington Square South, 4th Floor). The show is 18+. Tickets are already on sale for those with NYU IDs ($4/ticket) at the Ticket Central box office (566 LaGuardia Place). Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 5pm tonight for $8/ticket at the NYU ticket central satellite box office (60 Washington Sq South, Room 206). The show starts at 6:30, with opening acts Arms and Sleepers and Kayo Dot.

S (Jenn Ghetto) will be play at the Columbia City Theater in Seattle on October 6. The opening acts are Betsy Olson and Royal Eyes. She is also planning to play at Braur Falls in Brooklyn on October 11 and in Boston on October 12.

Sera Cahoone will be preforming at The Walnut Room in Denver, CO on Saturday, September 3 (tickets), along with Kal and Refectacles. Sera is also scheduled to be part of the "Bourbon & Broads" concert at the Neptune Theatre in Seattle on Friday, September 16 (tickets). Also appearing will be Betsy Olson, Maggie Bjorklund, Alessandra Rose, Side Saddle and Friends.

Band of Horses recently announced a couple new concert dates: September 4th in Denver, CO at the Ogden Theater (tickets) and September 5th in Boulder, CO at the Fox Theater (tickets). They will also be in the lineup for Voodoo Fest in New Orleans’ historic City Park over Halloween weekend; BOH are scheduled to play on Friday, October 28th (tickets).

Hardly Art announced the first new Carissa's Wierd songs in 7 years will be released on September 13. The A-side, "Tuscon", was first played at their reunion show in 2010; the B-Side is "Meredith & Iris" which is streaming here.

Hardly Art announced Carissa's Wierd will be playing a reunion show at Neumos in Seattle on September 24. Tickets are on sale here. They also have plans to "book a future show in New York".
